What is the Meet Someone New feature?

Once you're physically inside a venue's geofence, the Meet Someone New tab unlocks. Tap it and SIDEQ matches you with another person also inside the venue. A simple compass guides you to find them in person.

How do I chat my way in?

From outside the venue's geofence you can pick from three preset messages: I'll be there in 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Once you walk in, the chat opens up and you can type whatever you want.

When does SIDEQ launch?

SIDEQ launches in July 2026, starting with ASU and NAU nightlife. More Arizona campuses are next.

You made it to the spot. Open the app inside the venue and it knows you're here, so the Break the Ice button lights up. One tap to start.

SIDEQ pairs you with someone else inside who wants the same thing. Meet Jess. Accept to start the quest, or skip to the next.

Follow the arrow

A hot-and-cold arrow points you across the room and updates as you walk, warmer the closer you get to each other.

Confirm it's them

Three emojis pop up on your screen. Look at the other person's phone to confirm which one is the match, that's how you both know you've really found each other.
