This Privacy Policy explains how SIDEQ LLC ("SIDEQ," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website at sideqofficial.com (the "Site"). It applies to our pre-launch website only. A separate privacy policy will cover the SIDEQ mobile app when it launches.
We currently collect only two things: an email address if you choose to join our waitlist, and basic website analytics if you consent to them. We do not sell your personal information.

When you submit our waitlist form, we collect the email address you provide. We use it to notify you about SIDEQ's launch, early access, and related updates. The form is hosted and processed by Netlify, and submissions are stored in our Netlify account. Our legal basis for processing this data is your consent, given when you submit the form.
If you accept analytics in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed and which links are clicked. This may involve collecting your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location, and on-site interactions, and storing cookies or similar identifiers on your device. Our legal basis for this processing is your consent.
If you decline, Google Analytics does not store cookies or identifiers on your device and we do not collect this analytics data from you. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this Site, which will make the cookie banner reappear.
A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We use cookies only for the analytics described above, and only after you accept them. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell data.
We also store a single small value in your browser's local storage (named sideq-consent) to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask you again on every visit. This value stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Site, and only for that purpose:

We are based in the United States, and our service providers (including Netlify and Google) may process and store data in the United States and other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, this means your information may be transferred outside your home country. Where required, these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep waitlist email addresses until SIDEQ launches and for a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to delete your information or unsubscribe, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to have it corrected or deleted; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request a copy of it, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

If you join the waitlist, we will email you about SIDEQ. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address. You can opt out at any time by using that link or by emailing us, and we will stop sending you marketing emails.
The Site and the SIDEQ app are intended for adults only and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
